چکیده
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to measure the intraocular pressure (IOP) elevation during laser assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) flap creation using WaveLight FS200 femtosecond (FS) platform. Methods: We conducted an ex vivo experimental animal model. FS platform used perform corneal LASIK freshly enucleated porcine eyes. measured changes IOP from application suction ring (suctioning phase) through lamellar (cutting phase). recorded a manometric technique with direct cannulation anterior chamber. Results: Nine eyes were included study. mean baseline before procedure 20.33 ± 5.9 mm Hg. increase over 32.33 11.3 Hg at suctioning phase, and 38.22 cutting phase. total surgical time needed complete 29.5 4.4 seconds. Conclusions: produces low moderate creation. Translational Relevance: is safe because it induces

Incidence and Outcomes of Anterior Chamber Gas Bubble during Femtosecond Flap Creation for Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis
Purpose. To report the incidence and outcomes of anterior chamber gas bubble formation during femtosecond laser flap creation for laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK). Methods. The charts of 2,886 consecutive eyes that underwent femtosecond LASIK from May 2011 through August 2014 were retrospectively reviewed. The incidence, preoperative characteristics, intraoperative details, and pos...
متن کاملFemtosecond Laser in situ Keratomileusis Flap Creation in Narrow Palpebral Fissure Eyes without Suction
PURPOSE To evaluate a surgical technique used in eyes with narrow palpebral fissure undergoing femtosecond laser flap creation without suction during laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK). METHODS All data of 2 patient groups were collected through chart review. Group 1 consisted of 6 eyes with narrow palpebral fissure in which the suction ring was manually fixated and femtosecond laser was ap...
متن کاملFlap tearing during lift-flap laser in situ keratomileusis retreatment.
A flap tear occurred during laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) retreatment using a flap-lifting technique in 1 eye of 2 patients 4 to 5 months after the primary procedure. In the first case, the tear occurred in a decentered, standard thickness flap (168 mum) in a location close to the corneal limbus and limbal vessels. In the second case, the tear occurred in a well-centered thin flap (116 m...
متن کاملMicrocapillary sign of flap alignment in femtosecond laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis
We present an observational sign that ensures perfect alignment during femtosecond laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (FS LASIK). Alignment is assured when a microsponge is used to dry the flap and the area of dryness exceeds the area of direct touch of the microsponge. The area might even reach the whole circumference of the flap at the first touch. This sign of alignment can be explained b...
متن کاملFactors Influencing Corneal Flap Thickness in Laser In Situ Keratomileusis with a Femtosecond Laser
PURPOSE To evaluate factors responsible for the variability between intended and achieved corneal-flap thickness during femtosecond laser-assisted laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK). METHODS A prospective, nonrandomized, case study was performed on 35 eyes of 18 consecutive patients who underwent LASIK surgery using the 60 kHz femtosecond laser microkeratome. Eyes were assigned to three dif...
